Our Roots

The Cupertino Teen Advisory Council is a group of high school students dedicated to promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math studies in our community. Our mission is to provide students with valuable STEAM experience through engaging activities. Under the Cupertino Library Foundation, we organize the S4 Super Summer Science Search, Gateway to Learning, and STEAM Speaker Series.

Launched in 2011, the annual S4 Science Competition challenges middle school students to engage in a community issue and come up with STEAM-based solutions. We host Gateway to Learning at the Cupertino Silicon Valley Fall Festival to introduce families to math and science in a fun setting.  This year, we launched a virtual STEAM Speaker Series and invited alumni and industry professionals to talk about college and careers in science, engineering, software and art/design.
