The Cupertino Library, in partnership with the Asian American Parent Association and the Cupertino Library Foundation, present a panel discussion with former Cupertino mayors. Admission is free for everyone.
Students are encouraged to attend
- Learn about what’s involved in being the mayor of Cupertino
- Learn about the challenges in running a city
- Learn how to participate in civics
- Develop new ideas about what you would do as mayor
- Enter the 8th Grade Essay Contest

The Asian American Parent Association (AAPA) in partnership with Cupertino Library and the Cupertino Library Foundation, is hosting an essay contest for all 8th graders. Six winners will be selected who currently attend a middle school in Cupertino Union School District. Essay winner will receive a $100 cash scholarship award from AAPA, attend a City Hall Tour with current Cupertino Mayor before a City Council Meeting, as well as being introduced as an Essay Winner during a City Council Meeting.
