San Jose Chamber Orchestra a Resounding Success at Arts and Culture Series

The inaugural event of the 2012 Fall Arts & Culture Series sponsored by the Cupertino Library Foundation was a resounding success with over 90 people attending Cupertino’s Community Hall to hear the San Jose Chamber Orchestra.

The program included a selection of works by Beethoven, Telemann and other composers featuring a solo rendition by principal cellist Michelle Kwon of a Bach composition.

The audience learned that the music of Bach was “re-discovered” through the work of Felix Mendelssohn who helped to popularize the composer’s works after his death.

The San Jose Chamber Orchestra concluded with a spirited performance of the tango music of ‘El Choclo’ written by Villoldo.
