Mr. Hudson was invited back to this year’s Performing Arts and Culture series after his highly praised one-man “A Christmas Carol” in 2012.
Duffy Hudson weaved biographical elements of Poe’s life while performing:
- “The Tell Tale Heart”
- “Annabel Lee” and
- “The Raven.”
Afterwards the audience had a number of questions for Mr. Hudson including how he had been inspired to perform Poe and congratulated him on helping bring-forth the meaning of these works through a live performance.
After the Q&A, Duffy Hudson gave a special reading of Poe’s “Alone.”

San Francisco Shakespeare Festival: Julius Caesar
Cupertino Library gladly welcomes the San Francisco Shakespeare Company to Cupertino Community Hall as part of our 2013 Fall Performing Arts and Culture Series. This year they will present William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar in a shortened form. One of Shakespeare’s most famous plays, Julius Caesar is an exciting story of politics and corruption in ancient Rome, and also of eloquence and conscience.
The Flamenco Society of San Jose
The Flamenco Society of San Jose is known nationally for maintaining the ethnic richness of flamenco. Join us on Wednesday, November 6 as a singer, dancer and guitarist from the society share their passion for the art, music and culture of Andalucia Spain.
San Jose Chamber Orchestra
Music lovers, please join us on Saturday November 9th for a concert by The San Jose Chamber Orchestra’s Associate Concertmaster, Liana Berube, and principal cellist, Michelle Kwon. They will lead a program of string trio music designed to delight music-lovers everywhere.

Come admire the skill of beautifully costumed dancers performing a showcase of Indian dance styles; Semi Classical, Fusion, Folk and Bollywood!
Opera San José
Cupertino Library is pleased to welcome Opera San Jose back to the Cupertino Community Hall to participate in our Fall Performing Arts and Culture Series. Soloists from the company will sing highlights from Opera San Jose’s 2013-2014 thirtieth anniversary season. Works will include Verdi’s Falstaff, Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel Puccini’s Madame Butterfly and Mozart’s Don Giovanni.
