Edgar Alan Poe Inspires Cupertino Residents
Duffy Hudson and Jennifer Brown, Cupertino's Poet Laureate

Post-performance, Duffy Hudson shared words with Jennifer Brown, Cupertino’s Poet Laureate

An enthusiastic Cupertino crowd at the Community Hall saw Edgar Allan Poe come alive through the performance art of Duffy Hudson sponsored by the Cupertino Library Foundation.

Mr. Hudson was invited back to this year’s Performing Arts and Culture series after his highly praised one-man “A Christmas Carol” in 2012.

Duffy Hudson weaved biographical elements of Poe’s life while performing:

  • “The Tell Tale Heart”
  • “Annabel Lee” and
  • “The Raven.”

Afterwards the audience had a number of questions for Mr. Hudson including how he had been inspired to perform Poe and congratulated him on helping bring-forth the meaning of these works through a live performance.

After the Q&A, Duffy Hudson gave a special reading of Poe’s “Alone.”
