Kiran Varshneya-RohraKiran Varshneya Rohra

Kiran is a Director in Healthcare Account Management at Philips Research, Chief Technology Office. Prior to this, she has worked in Corporate R&D, Consumer Electronics Product Division and Management Consulting at Philips Electronics. She is widely travelled, started her professional career in Europe and is now living and working in the Bay Area for sixteen years. Kiran has a strong social network and is very active in our local community.

Kiran is married and has two sons, both educated through Cupertino public schools and California universities.

She was involved in Scouting for twelve years holding various volunteer positions including Chairperson Parents’ Committee Troop 494 and Fundraising Coordinator Troop 494. She has been contributing to several school activities, including volunteer at Archbishop Mitty High School library, organizer Discovery Day and International Day at Garden Gate Elementary School, volunteer at Garden Gate Elementary School library and the math program, volunteer at the International School library, Eindhoven, Netherlands and Chair ‘White Elephant’ fundraiser at the International School, Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

Community events organized:

  • New Year’s cultural festival in the Bay Area (2013, 2014)
  • Holi – Festival of Colors in Cupertino (2014)
  • Diwali – Festival of Lights in Cupertino (2014)
  • Diwali – Festival of Lights with Cupertino Library (2015, 2016, and 2017 is in planning)

Education:
Kiran holds a degree in Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Univ of Guyana, M.Sc in Electronics Engineering, Trinity College, Dublin – Republic of Ireland, and MBA in Global Management, UoP.
